Storage
The first issue is how much storage do you need? This is where e-mail comes into the equation.

Web Pages
6 Pages = 1mb average
30 Pages = 5mb average
Note: If you have used a lot of pictures (or data and other files) or your images have not been optimised to keep file sizes small, the above figures will increase.

Email
How many accounts and what size quota should you set? Bob 10Mb, Bill 25mb, Sue 5mb. If you only receive text and you check your mail regularly then you may only need 3-4mb, but if you receive mail with a lot of attachments or don't check your mail regularly, then you may need 50mb or more. Until you check your email using a mail client such as Outlook, any mail sent to you will reside on your web space and count as disk usage so it is best to check mail regularly.

20 Accounts @ 4mb = 80mb
5 Accounts @ 10mb = 50mb
5 Accounts @ 10mb + 1 Account @ 30mb = 80mb

To work out how much storage you need simply add your estimated e-mail usage together with your estimated web site size.

Web Traffic

The next thing you will have to estimate is how much web traffic you will use. This is a bit more difficult to do.

Web Pages
This is really nothing more than a wild guess. It depends upon how many people visit your site, how many pages they look at and how big the pages actually are. This is why it is a good idea to keep web pages as small as possible. Once you have a site set up however, you can monitor your usage easily.

Email
Email is a bit easier to determine. One way is to look at how many e-mails and attachments (including attachment sizes) you receive in a month. You can also view your usage statistic from your ISP and estimate how much of this was e-mail related traffic.
