E-mail Tutorials

Creating POP Accounts - Creating personalised e-mail accounts that reside on your hosting. Example: info@yourdomain.com.

Setting up Outlook Express - Outlook Express is a mail client that comes with Windows that allows you to download and check your POP e-mail accounts and send e-mail.

Setting up Catch All Accounts - IMPORTANT - Catch all accounts should be setup as soon as possible after purchasing a hosting package.

Webmail - Allows you to check your e-mail anywhere on any computer using a web browser.

Auto Responders - Set up messages that respond automatically when you receive a message.

E-mail Forwarding - Divert your e-mail to another account: Example: Divert e-mail to your e-mail account with your Internet Service Provider.

Uploading & FTP

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is used to upload your files to the Internet. The is a File Manager built into your c/panel but it is best and easiest to use a FTP Program such as CuteFTP or SmartFTP. SmartFTP is free to non-commercial users and has a 30 day trial period for commercial users. It is worth appox $50 aust to purchase.

Setting up FTP Accounts - Allow other people to transfer files to your web space for you without giving them the main account password.

Other Tutorials

Domain Parking - For more than one domain to point to your webs space, alternate domains need to be parked.

Webstats - Allows you to view statistics such as how many hits your site receives, what pages your visitors are looking at, what country they are from, etc.
