How
to Change Main Account Password
It
is recommended that you change your main account password periodically. Passwords
should approximately 8 characters long and consist of both letters and numbers.
Should not use birth days, license numbers or any thing that people may be able
to guess.
- Type
www dot + yourdomain/cpanel into your web browser and then enter username and
password when requested to access your control panel.
eg: www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
- In
your control panel, click the Change Password Icon.
- In the Password
Maintenance screen, enter details as required and then click the change Change
your password now! button.
- Try not to use dictionary
words and short passwords. If your password is too short, you will receive a message
as below.
- Once the system
accepts your new password you will receive a message similar to the one below.
Click the Go Back link.
- You will now be
required to log back in using the new password. Enter password and click OK
button.
